Our Success Strategy for Web Site Development
Spiral Lifecycle Model for Web Site Development

Taking Your Business to New Levels
The internet is an ever-changing business environment and your web site must keep up to stay competitive in the marketplace. To do this we use a simple Spiral Lifecycle Model for web site development which provides for a very quick, efficient, thorough and iterative web development process. The following provides you with an understanding of the types of things that will happen in each phase of the model.

Spiral Lifecycle Model – 4-Phase Iterative Process

Phase 1: Web Site Requirements
· Identify business goals and objectives
· Identifying your target audience/customers
· Competitive analysis
· Flowcharting
· Understand content organization of web site
· Identify features you want on the web site

Phase 2: Detailed Specifications for Programming/Graphic Design
· Prototyping web site providing a semi-visual representation of the web site
· Wire frame diagramming (layout development) of web site pages
· Gather logo, graphics and color specifications of business
· Identify any programming requirements for the web site
· Conduct customer reviews of prototypes (close relationships to business)

Phase 3: Development of Web Site
· Develop final designs and get approval on designs from customer
· Programming/setup of background functions and features
· HTML coding of approved designs
· Integration of HTML coded pages with any programming requirements
· Testing of web site
· Launch web site
· Advertise web site

Phase 4: Tracking and Analysis of Web Site
· Review web site performance
· Conduct customer reviews of web site
· Identify next steps for web site enhancements and changes
· Start Phase 1 again for the next iteration of web site development

The first iteration through the model probably takes the longest as majority of the time spent is in Phase 1 and Phase 2 identifying the business goals and requirements. This first iteration will setup the framework and foundation of your entire web site for many more iterations to come. Completing iterations becomes a refinement of the last one and therefore should speed up as you move through each one.

If you have a current web site and have specific needs for it, you may start at a different Phase but for the most part you will go through each phase in synchronous order as stated above. For instance, you may only need to maintain some pages that have grown outdated so you may start at Phase 3, but after that an analysis of the site (Phase 4) should occur followed by the next phases.

We look forward to enhancing your ebusiness and Internet efforts within this ever-changing competitive environment and we hope this information helps you to understand our approach to web site development.
